Some Simple Water Storage Tips & Great Links

BASICS: 
Don’t store water in containers unless BPA free.
Don’t store water in bright rooms.
Don’t store water anywhere near chemicals.
Don’t store in old milk containers - they are designed to break down.
Don’t expect to stack containers without breaking.
Do store water off the ground, preferably on a wooden platform.
Do THOROUGHLY clean any container you’re containers if reusing (like soda) and only reuse once. after six months cycle the water or put in new container re-treating and toss old bottle in recycling bin. 
Do use a bleach solution or water treatment when filling.
Do cycle through this water if possible or retreat every 6 months or what the treatment bottle suggests.
When using, pour a bit out, give a great shake for a minute, and let sit while to oxygenate or it’ll taste gross.
When using, please filter the water again if you have any worries.
55/275 Gallon contains can be bought used for $25-100 or so off craigslist/etc but KNOW WHAT WAS IN THERE BEFORE and make sure it was a FOOD PRODUCT and that the containers are FOOD GRADE or you may kill your family.
Yes, you can store water in the food grade 5 gallon buckets people store wheat and such in. You still need to treat the water.
